About Myself: Born in London in 1937 moved down to Devon in 1946 and (nearly) consider myself a Devonian! Trained as a Riding Instructor at Porlock, Somerset and did National Service in the Cavalry - 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards. Spent most working life in the Insurance Industry. I have two grown up children and three grandchildren. I recently got married again after the loss of my wife to cancer in 2007

Started to paint in 1995 following early retirement when it was suggested that, as the Computer courses were full up, I sit-in on an art course run by the local authority. Never having painted before it was a new and novel experience which I really enjoyed. I listened carefully to the Instructor and before long I had produced my first picture!!

Since then Art has taken over and I have been lucky to have sold pictures at local exhibitions and many parts of the World, including France, Australia, and America. My real love is Watercolour - its such an adventure with the unexpected just round the corner. Nobody told me that Watercolour was the hardest!! Subjects vary but living where I do on the Devon Coast - seascapes figure a great deal - I love the shapes of boats and effects of reflections.

Recently I have taken the first steps into producing limited edition prints of some of my paintings - This site features copies of my work - just place the cursor over the picture to get the title.
